Welcome to the annual ABC Marching Band Festival and Competition Page. ABC will no longer be a US Scholastic Band Association (USSBA) competition but rather will be independently run by the BCHS Booster Organization, and it will be held on Jimmie Lovell field in Bear Stadium. The field is always maintained and groomed to perfection, and the stadium holds over five thousand spectators.
Captions/judges in the following categories:
Visual Performance / General Effect: Rick South
Overall General Music Effect: John Burroughs
Ensemble Music Performance: Jim McClure
Individual Music Performance: George W. Hayden III
Colorguard: Gary Harner
Percussion: Dennis Baker
Classification will be based on TOTAL members in band (winds, percussion, guard):
Group A – 1-35
Group AA – 36-60
Group AAA – 61-95
Group AAAA – 96-135
Group AAAAA – 136 and up
Awards will be given in the following categories:
Plaques for all runners-up in each division (A, AA, AAA, AAAA, AAAAA) (2nd place, 3rd place, 4th place, etc.)
Trophy for Champion (1st place) in each division (A, AA, AAA, AAAA, AAAAA)
Grand Champion overall: Class A through AAAAA
Plaque for first place guard and percussion in each class
Bands may also sign up for Festival performance in a non-judged comment only format.
Entry fee is $75 per band, no matter what size!
Individual and group photography, concessions, merchandise, and much more will be available at the competition. For more details, contact Directors of the Bradley Band, Mr. Kristan Ware or Ms. Angela DeLozier or our ABC Booster Chair, Katie Kazy.
For Spectator Admission to ABC, tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for students with a valid ID. Children 6 & under are free. Parking is $5. Special VIP parking will be available for an additional charge.
